Full job description

The Bedford Senior Center Operator position is part-time working 6.5 hours/day, Monday-Friday. Manage daily meal service and coordinate daily programming of educational, nutritional, recreational and other related activities for participants. Upon delivery of catered noon meal, check for completeness, temperature monitoring, assist in serving congregate meal following all food service regulations. Responsible for ordering meals and supplies as needed. Ensure daily donations remain in Agency-issued lock box and deliver to main office. Complete required reports in approved computer data base program. Train/supervise food service worker and center volunteers. Assist with center cleaning. Knowledge of individual and group behaviors of population served, proper portion control and sanitary/health-related procedures when dealing with food. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent AND one year of experience working with older persons. Excellent verbal communication, organizational and computer skills necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.39 per hour
