As a diesel technician at First, you would perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buses for Berlin School District.

• Perform mechanic repair and ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance,
• Maintain records of completed work on vehicles.
• Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required (or expected within 3 months of hire) - We train!
• ASE Certification preferred. Must participate in ASE testing program within 1 year (expected to have 3 ASE within 12 months of hire)
• At least 3 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Maintain an organized shop and clean work environment
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties maintained in a clean and safe manner
