Role

• Produce high quality parts in a safe, cost-efficient manner. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.

$20.20/hr plusa $0.45 shift differential for 2nds Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal instructions, including work standards and check sheets, in order to produce various product components
• Inspect and verify accuracy of product for quality conformance using measuring and testing machines/equipment or by visual examination
• Adjust, repair or replace defective parts using basic hand tools
• Record production data in computer system or on paper. Assist with countermeasures in production problem areas.
• Maintain production progress in relationship to the production schedule. Continually check countermeasures and report any extreme delays in production
• Adhere to machine/equipment preventative maintenance plans
• Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities (product quality, production efficiencies, scrap, downtime, etc)
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company's IATF 16949 procedures (work standards, regulations, quality manual)
• Promote and ensure conformance to the company's ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste)
• Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Comply with department 5C activities
• Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates
• Additional projects assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School diploma/HSE equivalency

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Aluminum Die Cast (high pressure cold chamber casting)
• Computer knowledge

Environmental/Working Conditions

• Essential functions of this job require the associate to regularly: stand, walk, bend, twist, carry and lift
• PPE as required by company policy
