As a Model Office Analyst, you will develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new software packages and modifications and upgrades to existing applications. The Duties & Responsibilities of an Associate Model Office Analyst, Model Office Analyst, or Senior Model Office Analyst generally include: • Create and execute general comprehensive test plans. • Set up appropriate test cases and identify and document all necessary test scenarios with details of expected results. • Document actual test results against expected results. Research and document reasons for discrepancies. • Communicate with department management to provide input for necessary changes during testing. • Analyze and assist management with development to functional specifications for Company systems. • Assist management with suggestions and alternative methods for accomplishing requests. • Execute general systematic corrections to resolve policy issues. • Assist management with investigation and resolution of system issues. In addition to the above, a Model Office Analyst will also be responsible for the following: • Create more in-depth comprehensive test plans and set up appropriate test cases. • Coordinate with business units and programmers to analyze and develop functional specifications for Company systems. • Design specifications for new computer programs or upgrades. • Provide suggestions and alternative methods to management for accomplishing requests. • Execute complex systematic corrections to resolve policy issues. • Investigate and resolve reported application system issues. In addition to the above, a Senior Model Office Analyst will also be responsible for the following: • Execute systematic corrections to resolve more complex and difficult policy issues. • Handle more complex processing issues, provide processing support and assist with training. • Perform complex regression testing to ensure new changes haven't adversely affected the performance of other interrelated programs. Required skills & experience of an Associate Model Office Analyst, Model Office Analyst, or Senior Model Office Analyst: • For an Associate Model Office Analyst level, a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required, including business analyst and system testing experience. Product knowledge, product administration experience is preferred. • Model Office Analyst, Senior Model Office Analyst and Advanced Model Office Analyst levels will be considered based on applicable years of experience and related skills. • Comprehensive knowledge of life insurance products preferred. • Technical understanding of life insurance administration systems preferred. • In depth knowledge of life insurance application systems preferred. • A strong aptitude for, and interest in learning. • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite required. • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Strong organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. • Ability to take care of both internal and external customer needs. • Ability to pay close attention to detail. • Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments. • Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload. • Ability to work a regular schedule required. Must be able to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines or release schedules. Additional Required skills & experience of a Model Office Analyst or Senior Model Office Analyst: • Comprehensive knowledge of life insurance products required. • Technical understanding of life insurance administration systems required. • Ability to train others. Education Required: Associates degree in computer science or other related field, is required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred. The level of this position will be determined based on factors including relevant skills, experience and other qualifications. This is a hybrid eligible position with remote work consideration. This position may require planned visits to a Company office. Pay Range: • Associate Model Office Analyst: $20.84 to $29.00 hourly • Model Office Analyst: $23.68 to $33.40 hourly • Senior Model Office Analyst: $26.42 to $38.60 hourly The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
