Description

We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Accountant/Full charge Bookkeeper to join our team based in BIRMINGHAM, Michigan. This is an onsite role in an retail/office environment. This role encompasses a broad range of financial tasks, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and are in line with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues

• Oversee Accounts Payable and accounts receivable and ensure accurate and timely payments and collections

• Conduct regular account analysis to ensure accuracy

• Utilize accounting software, particularly Peachtree Sage, to maintain financial records

• Apply strong financial acumen and analytical skills to financial tasks

• Communicate effectively and maintain strong interpersonal relationships within the team

• Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accountant role or similar

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Solid experience with Sage Peachtree Windows is a must

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Must adhere to high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism at all times

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
