You shall provide medical consultation to juveniles in need in accordance with the nurse practitioner practice act.  Our Registered Nurses within JJS perform a full range of nursing tasks,in a variety of settings and with a variety of patient groups. They exercise independent and professional discretion with the youth that they work with. Principal Duties

• Provides direct and/or indirect patient care oriented toward improving or maintaining health and preventing illness.
• Coordinates clinical activities and follow-up.
• Provides medical consultation in specialized areas of knowledge.
• Provides clients with information concerning rights,options,benefits,services,goals and expectations.
• Adapts program(s) to meet specific needs or concerns.
• Maintains and updates patient charts,records,and information.
• Develops or modifies rules,policies,or standards,etc.
• Administer first aid and/or CPR
• Communicate information and ideas clearly,and concisely,in writing; read and understand information presented in writing.
• Enter,transcribe,record,store,or maintain information in either written or electronic form.
• Follow and apply treatment plans as developed by a licensed professional.
• Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts,explore alternatives,and propose quality solutions.
• Speak clearly,concisely and effectively; listen to,and understand,information and ideas as presented verbally.
• Provide consultation and/or expert advice or testimony.
