Warehouse Worker/Shipping

Location: Blue Ridge Summit, PA

Rowman & Littlefield/National Book Network (NBN) is seeking a full-time Warehouse Worker in the Shipping Department. NBN is one of North America's largest distributors of independent trade book publishers. The successful candidate would report to our distribution center in Blue Ridge Summit, PA.

Responsibilities

With the basic use of a computer, the candidate will:

• Consolidate tote.
• Identify items and confirm the number of orders.
• Pack orders.
• Determine correct shipping labels and documentation for domestic and international orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

``` - Basic computer skills. - Ability to read and understand instructions. - Ability to perform basic math computations. - Work independently and problem-solve. - Start and complete assignments in a timely, unsupervised manner. - Must be able to work with an RF and desktop computer. - Maintain a clean and safe working environment. - Must be willing to be cross-trained on other duties within the department/warehouse, which may require climbing stairs (working on the mezzanine)

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Standing/walking for long periods of time on the concrete floor
• Bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and stooping

*Hours: * Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime as needed) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
