Job Description:

As a Hotel Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service to our guests in the hotel caf. You will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, engaging with guests to ensure their coffee experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Your passion for coffee and dedication to excellence will enhance the overall guest experience and contribute to the success of our hotel\'s food and beverage offerings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
  2. Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment with precision and care, ensuring the highest quality of coffee products.
  3. Engage with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about coffee selections and menu items.
  4. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, processing payments and handling transactions with professionalism and accuracy.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the caf area, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and service stations, following sanitation and hygiene guidelines.
  6. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, restocking as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
  7. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to coordinate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service for guests.
  8. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, following proper procedures for handling and storing food and beverages.
  9. Uphold a positive and professional attitude, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and colleagues alike.
  10. Stay informed about current coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry developments, continually seeking opportunities for professional growth and improvement.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, caf, or specialty coffee shop environment.

Passion for coffee and a strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.

Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment, with attention to detail and precision.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hotel\'s schedule.
