The Arc of Ocean County is looking for Transition Coordinators to join our Vocational department to provide safe, engaging, and meaningful opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities in Ocean County. Transition Coordinators will be responsible for assisting program participants to enhance their daily living and employability skills through the implementation of structured activities designed to promote a successful transition to the next phase of employment supports. The Transition Specialist will provide individualized training consistent with the participant’s service plan. The Transition Specialist will support participants in activities that take place in community-integrated settings, including community-based job sampling and volunteering. The Transition Specialist will promote an environment that fosters the acquisition of skills and encourages positive social behavior, greater independence, and personal choice. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable with networking to establish and maintain relationships with community partners.

Schedule: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday

Pay: From $20.30 per hour, Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule

Location: Brick, NJ.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.

  • Must have a Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than five points

  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
