Oracle Principal Cloud Apps Developer / Architect in BUCHAREST, Romania

Job Description

We are using the Agile engineering methodology to develop, operate and support mission critical software with huge data sets, very high up-time requirements in a SaaS architecture. You will work directly with the product manager, in a multinational team of talented engineers, designers and architects, to create a product that aims to outperform and outsell its competition. Responsibilities

  • Analyze the requirements and define the specifications

  • Design solutions and get them implemented

  • Own the entire feature lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy, operate and support

  • Address performance issues, continuously improve the performance testing strategy

  • Apply, improve and expand the coding standards for our group (code coverage and code audit)

  • Fix bugs and improve our functional testing strategy (unit tests, regression tests)

  • Stay up to date with security standards and apply the security guidelines

  • Advocate best practices for native cloud applications

  • Develop automation for testing, building and deploying micro-services

  • Operate and support the micro-services in production

Required qualifications

  • Mastery of Java, Object Oriented and Design Patterns (Python experience is a plus)

  • Experience with jUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Cucumber or similar testing frameworks

  • Experience in Oracle DB, MySQL or similar (NoSQL experience is a plus) via JPA or similar ORM

  • Experience with REST services, Single Page web applications (HTML, JS, Angular, Knockout, ReactJs, Oracle JET)

  • Good experience with Containers and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)

  • Three or more years of experience developing cloud native applications

  • Experience in OCI, AWS, Azure or other big cloud platforms

  • Working knowledge with Micronaut, Helidon, GraalVM, and other micro-service dedicated platforms

  • Working knowledge of UX design principles

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins or similar)

  • Experience in Agile, estimations, planning and reporting, using tools like Jira or similar
