TEKsystems Help Desk Technician in Columbus, Ohio

This is a great entry level role that only requires 6+ months of IT support experience. Even if you have more experience, this is a long term opportunity that will give you the opportunity to work & grow into other areas of their IT organizations.

This opportunity will consist of about 1 month of training as you will be supporting 33k employees and 3,000 applications. No need to be overwhelmed, they are consistently updating their knowledge base and you can resort to that!

  • Experience working within a Ticketing system

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues relating to Win 7/10, MS Office/ O365

  • Set up new users within Active Directory

  • Perform Password resets

  • Troubleshoot VPN / Network connectivity issues.

  • Must have phone support and be willing to do 90-100% phone support.

  • Must have troubleshooting exposure and be able to troubleshoot technical resolution.

  • Will resolve proprietary software related issues and hardware.

  • Resolves ITSM Technical tickets via phone

  • Analyzes proposed business needs, researches technical requirements, develops cost effect solutions and supports implementation.

  • Designate and implement computer hardware/software standards company-wide.

  • Responds to equipment outages, leads site equipment hardware refresh & maintenance visits.

  • Responsible for administering backup and restoring end-user systems.

  • Attends weekly team meetings to review outstanding issues

Experience requirements:

  • 6+ months years of IS support experience with a GREAT attitude.

  • Education preferred to BA/BS degree or an AA/AS degree

  • Work experience 6+ months in IT role
