Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior HR Generalist to join our team. The Senior HR Generalist will support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HR policy implementation, and compliance. This position reports to the Senior Director of HR and will focus on the North American Sporting Goods fitness equipment division, which has brands including BowFlex, Schwinn, and Horizon Fitness.

This role can immediately shift focus and prioritize multiple work requests while remaining positive and upbeat. The position is part of a fun, friendly, and flexible HR team that works closely together on all aspects of HR.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process with the HR recruiting team, including job descriptions, job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially, resolving conflicts and addressing complaints as needed.

  • Support performance management initiatives by assisting in goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with management to identify HR needs and develop strategies to address them effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.

  • Collaborate with the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) staff to review incidents and to reduce risk to ensure employees’ safety.

  • Collaborate with management on annual staffing plans including annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Handles corrective action and position separations with the leadership team.

  • Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems with the HR mgmt staff for the HR team.

  • Provide guidance and support to leadership and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in HR roles, focusing on HR generalist functions.

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training.

  • Familiar with Paylocity/HRIS systems is a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Requires a valid driver’s license.

  • Occasional domestic travel to other business locations when needed.
