There's currently a permanent opportunity in the Real Estate & Property industry for a Senior Accountant to join a thriving, innovative company in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Dallas, Texas.

What you get to do every day

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

Requirements

• Commercial Real Estate Accounting

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Microsoft Excel experience desired

• Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Prior work done in public accounting is preferred

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
