Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Danvers, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team based in Danvers, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts receivable function of our distribution organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable process such as invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts receivable team, providing leadership and ensuring departmental goals are met

• Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing to customers

• Monitor customer accounts for timely payment and follow up on past due invoices

• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes

• Review and reconcile customer accounts, applying payments accurately

• Develop and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce accounts receivable aging

• Prepare periodical accounts receivable reports for management review

• Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally

• Keep up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to accounts receivable management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. Requirements • Applicant must possess at least 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager role or similar.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions is a must.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is expected.

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Demonstrated expertise in Billing Functions is required.

• Ability to manage Cash Activity efficiently is expected.

• Proficiency in Collection Processes is a must.

• The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.

• The applicant should have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Must be able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications are required.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding accounts receivable is preferred.

• Experience in a supervisory role is necessary.

• The candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
