Description

Individuals in this role complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Job Duties:

  • Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to verify billing accuracy.

  • Enter and code invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.

  • Prepare and issue payments to vendors via check, ACH, or other payment methods.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.

  • Assist with month-end closing by ensuring all outstanding invoices are processed.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to resolve inquiries.

  • Monitor and track expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed financial records for audit purposes.

    Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting preferred.

  • Relevant accounts payable experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Familiarity with basic tax regulations and compliance.
