This position is part of Analytical Method Research and Development located in Fargo, ND and will be on-site . At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Mass Spec Group and report to the Senior Scientist responsible for mass spec lab buildout, method development, and new method research .

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Grow into an SME role

• Design and execute novel analytical method research

• Design and execute methods relating to client needs

• Train other scientists/analysts

• Represent Aldevron at conferences with presentations

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Hands on experience with HPLC, UPLC, and/or LC-MS method execution/development

• Experience with chromatography data systems such as Chromeleon, Empower, OpenLab, etc.

• Skilled in experimental design with a history of using experimental outcomes to inform future development tasks.

• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as, sample prep, qPCR, capillary electrophoresis, ELISA, etc.

• Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline with 2+ years of experience. Or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 0+ years of experience.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working in a GMP environment

• Large molecule mass spec such as DNA, RNA, or proteins
