Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. In this position you will design control systems for robotics, conveyor/material handling, and other automation systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and reasoning capabilities, good communication skills and strong MS Office Suite skills. This is a Monday-Friday 1 st shift, 12-month contract.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Forest, VA

Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00/hr. (depending on experience)

What’s the Job?

• Design, testing and implementation of automation systems.

• Review customer requirements and propose equipment controls designs.

• Prepare engineering and supporting documentation, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material and panel machining drawings.

• Interface with manufacturing to ensure equipment conforms to design and customer specifications.

• Assure system and product functionality by assuring proper operation, error recovery, and compliance with DFMEA.

• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government and company safety regulations.

• Assure completion of projects by training and guiding build technicians as necessary.

What’s Needed?

• 3 - 5 years’ experience

• B.S. or Master’s in Electrical Engineering

• In-depth knowledge of HMI, PLC, motion controls, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with AutoCAD electrical.

• Prior robotics implementation a plus.
