Army Installation Management Command Assistant Aquatics Manager NF-03 in Fort Detrick, Maryland

Responsibilities Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met. Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies. Maintains adequate staffing to ensure a safe, functional, and enjoyable recreation activity. Assist the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for assigned facilities and programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. 2. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. Current certification in Life guarding or Lifeguarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent. 3. The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment: - Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification. 4. In addition, for facilities that use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty: - AED and O2 Administration These certificates must be reflected on your resume and can be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position. A written service agreement must be completed by the employee covering a period of at least 6 months following the requirement published in 5 CFR 575.110 and 5 CFR 575.111. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
