DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for a range of welding tasks, such as welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting metal on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. You will use various welding equipment, including arc, acetylene, or mig welders, to perform cutting and welding operations on machinery and equipment within the department. This may involve working on truck and automobile bodies, engine parts, and trailer parts. Additionally, you will be involved in repairing winter services equipment, such as plow frames, plow blades, and spreaders. You will also have the opportunity to fabricate replacement parts or create new parts for equipment modifications. Safety is a priority, and you will operate power hand tools and air tools, such as band saws, drills, hydraulic presses, and air compressors, while carrying out welding and fabrication tasks. Furthermore, you will operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, pick-up trucks, and bucket trucks, in conjunction with your fabrication and welding responsibilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Three years of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
