We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Powder Coating Technician to join our team. The Powder Coating Technician will be responsible for preparing surfaces, ing powder coatings, and operating curing ovens to produce high-quality coated products. The successful candidate will have an understanding of powder coating techniques, equipment, and materials.

salary: $16 - $16.5 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.

• Select appropriate powder coating materials and colors based on job requirements.

• Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns or manual methods to achieve desired coverage and finish.

• Operate curing ovens to cure powder coatings and ensure proper adhesion and finish.

• Inspect coated products for defects or irregularities and make necessary adjustments.

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Maintain accurate records of coating materials, process parameters, and quality control measurements.

• Perform routine maintenance on powder coating equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
