Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to become a vital part of our team in the professional services industry, located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the financial and administrative tasks of our accounts payable department, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the accounts payable finance department

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Provide high-quality customer service to internal business partners

• Assist with both internal and external audits as required

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions

• Monitor and resolve any issues related to accounts payable. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required for this role.

• Proven experience in the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk or a similar position in the accounting sector.

• Demonstrable proficiency in auditing procedures and principles.

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.

• Familiarity with accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing financial tasks.

• Strong numerical skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial records.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in regulations.
