* *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Health and Community Services Division. The mission of the Human and Community Services Division (HCSD) of DPHHS is to assist individuals and families to meet basic needs and become economically self-sufficient. The division provides cash assistance, employment training, supplemental nutrition assistance, Medicaid eligibility, nutrition training, energy assistance, weatherization, and other services to help families move out of poverty and toward healthy independence. The Division Administrator provides leadership and direction to the division including planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive statewide system to serve, support, and protect Montana’s vulnerable citizens. Other key responsibilities are establishing goals, objectives, and priorities for division activities; designing and implementing service delivery strategies; promulgating rules and policies; implementing changes in the state public assistance system; and overseeing service review and quality control programs to ensure operations are conducted in compliance with state and federal regulations.
