Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Corporate Accounting Manager. The role will be based in Houston, Texas, and will involve managing a team and overseeing all aspects of Corporate Accounting. This includes maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring timely processing of all banking related activity, treasury and month-end close tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the functioning of corporate accounting including consolidations, intercompany, fixed assets, prepaids and accruals

• Supervise a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment

• Liaise with business partners across the company to ensure efficient processing of purchasing related activities and month-end close tasks

Maintains the organization's general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.

Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting.

Assists internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements.

Reconciles and adjusts balance sheet accounts including Due to Due Forms and Intercompany.

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, including providing input on the design and application of new policies and processes.

Guide other accountant levels by reviewing completed adjusting entries and trend reports.

Oversees and tracks the progress and timeliness of month end close activities.

Manages Accounting Supervisors, assists in the training and development of accounting staff.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Acquisitions, Acquisition Integration, Consolidated Balance Sheet, Prepare Balance Sheets, Reconcile Balance Sheet Account, Monthly Balance Sheet, Balance Sheets, Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Treasury, Consolidations, Supervisory management

• Experience with NetSuite, Financial Statements Consolidation, Monthly Financial Statements.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the role of an Accounting Manager or Supervisor.

• Proficiency in handling acquisitions and acquisition integration.

• Ability to prepare, reconcile, and manage balance sheets including consolidated balance sheets, monthly balance sheets, and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Experience in supervisory management and ability to lead a team effectively.

• Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite.

• Expertise in preparing and consolidating financial statements on a monthly basis.

• Familiarity with treasury functions and consolidations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and other stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA or CMA would be advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on accurate financial analysis.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on work quality.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
