Caris Life Sciences Sales Compensation Analyst in Irving, Texas

Position Summary

The Sales Compensation Analyst is responsible for the administration and execution of all sales compensation programs, including the sales incentive compensation program, SPIFs, and sales contests. As a key member of the Sales Operations team, this colleague will work with Sales Leadership and the Manager of Sales Compensation and Design to incentivize and reward Sales colleagues to deliver on Caris’ financial and business goals. This colleague will also work with Finance, HR, and Legal to ensure compliance with compensation regulations (SOX, EKRA) and to fulfill compensation audit requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer and execute sales compensation programs designed to incentivize and reward sales colleagues for delivering on Caris’ business goals.

  • Provide performance reporting, leaderboards, etc. during the execution of these sales compensation programs to ensure visibility and increase their motivational impact.

  • Calculate payouts from sales compensation programs for all sales colleagues on a monthly basis. Coordinate to secure all necessary approvals for sales compensation program payouts. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments within deadlines.

  • Support the authoring and execution of role-based Sales Incentive Compensation Plan Agreement Letters which are signed by Sales colleagues.

  • Assist in the calculation and allocation of quotas to each Sales colleague as the basis for their Sales Incentive Compensation plan.

  • Maintain records of territories, quotas, and other data necessary for the execution of sales compensation programs. Execute changes to this data as a result of new hires, transfers, and separations.

  • Investigate and answer questions from Sales colleagues related to the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan and their resulting payouts. Calculate corrections and adjustments where necessary.

  • Understand and apply sales compensation policies consistently. Identify and raise for approvals scenarios that require special consideration.

  • Analyze market data to identify, evaluate, and recommend potential Strategic Account and National Account targets. Support Sales teams in the preparation and update of strategy documents, org charts, call lists, pitch decks, and other material required to pursue these accounts.

  • Analyze territory potential and recommend adjustments to optimize deployment of sales resources and the resulting sales production.

  • Maintain the necessary records to fulfill compensation audit requirements.

  • Ensure adherence with all relevant regulatory rules (i.e. SOX, EKRA, etc.) related to sales compensation.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience executing sales compensation plans.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Basic understanding of regulatory (SOX, EKRA) and audit requirements for sales compensation.

  • Advanced Excel skills (including vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables, graphs complex formulas, etc).

  • Superior PowerPoint skills to create enablement slides and update presentations on sales compensation programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle and manage confidential information

  • Superior analytical skills with financial data.

  • High financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated experience working in high growth, performance driven sales environments

  • Experience analyzing sales and financial data.

  • Conditions of Employment: Individuals must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS, B2B, high-tech, and biotech preferred

  • SQL and Tableau skills are preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills. Must be able to consistently meet deadlines for information.

  • High degree of personal organization and ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrate decision-making ability towards solving problems, while working under pressure and effectively communicating these solutions to co-workers and customers.

  • General understanding of business policies and practices.

  • Ability to quickly learn quickly and thrive in a growing company.

  • This position requires 10% travel.
