Where you'll work:

Our Lakeland, Florida site hosts an innovative product portfolio and utilizes custom designed equipment and technologies to create unique flavors and ingredients for citrus drinks and pharmaceutical products. Be part of a team that has rich history and ties to the Polk County community, with the original site established in 1955.

What you'll do:

The primary duties for this job include the following:

  • Complete all steps of receiving including, labeling, sampling, and storing/delivering all receipts.

  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

  • Pull and deliver samples of product as requested by other departments in the facility.

  • Operate the Kerry Van as needed and follow the rules of the road by Department of Transportation (DOT)

  • Stage production Process Orders by pulling the correct part, lot number and quantity.

  • Report any NILs to the Warehouse Coordinator and assist in the research process.

  • Utilizing computerized inventory system, transfer items to or from locations as necessary using the SAP Scan gun system.

  • Perform inventory reconciliation of post-production stock. This includes verifying quantities and transferring product into warehouse bin locations.

  • Load and unload tankers and obtain samples in accordance with written procedures and deliver the samples to the QA Lab for processing.

  • Weigh tanker/bulk trucks in and out per warehouse procedures.

  • Understand all job hazards and comply with all department and plant safety practices.

  • Review and follow all warehouse operating procedures.

  • Complete daily Warehouse cleaning schedule and White Line Walk checklist.

  • Maintain all warehouse areas in a neat and orderly manner.

  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. Assist with loading or unloading of trucks.

  • Perform required operator inspection and maintenance on forklift.

  • Provide a high level of warehouse utilization by consolidating product within warehouse.

  • Stage sales orders using the SAP scan gun and follow all order instructions.

What you'll need to be successful and safe:

  • Must be punctual and have consistent attendance.

  • Able to work flexible hours as needed to meet customer needs and production demands.

  • Excellent attention to detail, neatness, and follow through skills.

  • Must be able to perform several functions concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must wear proper safety equipment.

  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.

  • Must be able to withstand extreme cold conditions (cooler and tank farm).

  • Able to perform medium intensity with moderate frequency physical activity, to include lifting up to 65 lbs.

  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must have experience of operating electric forklift trucks in a warehouse environment.

  • 1+ years of experience preferred.

  • Requires computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Kerry ERP systems (SAP)

  • Valid Class E driver license

    Salary:

    The typical hiring range for this role is $19.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
