Job Summary and Qualifications

OR Aide (OR Assistant) - PRN/Per Diem

Typical schedule is 4p-8p (Monday - Thursday) and 3p-8p on Fridays.

We are currently accepting applications for an OR Aide (or OR Assistant) in our Ambulatory Surgery (Outpatient) Department on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis.

The Operating Room Aide (OR Aide) performs direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting and assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment.

As an OR Aide, your duties include but are not limited to:

• Follow specific procedures to perform terminal cleaning and prepare rooms for new patients

• Use industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures

• Clean and make stretchers/beds

• Assist in the turnover of 21 rooms in the Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery area between cases

• Stock/restock all assigned areas and deliver specimens/blood to the lab

• Transport patients as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• 6 months housekeeping experience preferred

• Heavy lifting may also be required (25lbs-75lbs)
