Eaton Corporation Electronics Team Lead in Long Branch, New Jersey

Eaton’s ES EMEA CS LS division is currently seeking a Electronics Team Lead. This role is based out of our Long Branch, NJ facility. The Electronics Team Lead plays a crucial role in the Life Safety organization, overseeing hardware design, development, testing, and technical project management. Their responsibilities include ensuring alignment across engineering disciplines and delivering successful project outcomes. Beyond technical expertise, effective communication, collaboration, and team guidance are essential for this leadership role.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105225.03 - $154330.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Work closely with various engineering groups, emphasizing design reuse and efficient project execution.

  • Collaborate with Firmware (FW) and Mechanical team leads to ensure seamless integrations.

  • Share knowledge and overcome technical challenges.

Best Practices Implementation:

  • Implement best practices for requirements management, schematics, layout, manufacturing, testing, and regulatory compliance.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation using digital tools like Jira, Jama, and Confluence.

  • Explore alternative solutions for complex technical challenges.

Detailed Design Oversight:

  • Refine electronics architectures into detailed designs, focusing on resilience and component availability.

  • Electronics Verification and Testing:

  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and procedures.

  • Execute HW verification activities, including reviews, integration tests, environmental testing, and HW/FW interface debugging.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define detailed testing requirements.

  • Analyze test results, propose corrective actions, and generate comprehensive test reports.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Implement quality control processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Team Development and Training:

  • Identify training needs and organize skill development programs.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

  • Recognize and reward team achievements.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead a team of electronics engineers and technicians.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

  • Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Engineering experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Engineering leadership experience.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Long Branch, NJ facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understand electrical circuits, embedded architecture, and electronics packaging.

  • Proficiency in using CAD software for circuit and PCB design.

  • Design and integrate complex systems.

  • Conceptualize and implement system-level designs, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization across hardware elements.

  • Experience within the Life Safety business regulatory standardS.
