POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibility of this position is for accurate and timely completion of light assembly operations required for various bus and coach parts. During times when there is a lull in bench activity, the associate will be assigned to warehouse operations to receive and store inventory, retrieve product to fill customer orders, package product for shipment to customers and other required warehouse functions as assigned by supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Accurately assemble various bus components assigned to the Louisville bench assembly work stream.
• Meet first time quality and efficiency targets set by the company.
• Operate various handheld tools and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to all established safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Receive in product; compare actual shipment to shipment paperwork, utilize WMS system to receive and put away product in accordance with departmental Standard Work Instructions.
• Store product in proper location using proper equipment at a 99.95% accuracy rate.
• Pick product from shelves using proper equipment, as indicated on customer order or work order at a 99.95% accuracy rate.
• Package product for shipping with a contents accuracy of 99.95% to include international shipments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Previous assembly experience a plus.
• Prior warehouse and stock keeping experience.
• Proficient in the ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics required.
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment accurately.
• Ability to utilize handheld tools including but not limited to: saws, drills, soldering equipment, wire crimpers, etc.
• Proficient in RF usage.
