JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: About the Position: This position is a part of our Facilitates Management department within the Facilities Planning and Management Division at UW-Madison. The primary responsibility is to program, manage and direct the operation, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, improvements, and asset management of assigned campus facilities. This position will act as the primary point of contact for the facilities assigned and as the representative for the Physical Plant to the colleges and tenants under their cognizance ensuring facilities are professionally maintained and developed at a level that meets their mission requirements. Facilities Management supports UW Madison\'s research, teaching, and learning mission by providing essential services to its diverse community of researchers, professors, and students from around the globe. This position plays a vital role in achieving this goal. About Facilities Management (within the Physical Plant): Facilities Management serves as a client liaison to our campus customers and develops requirements for maintenance, repair, and recapitalization; receives work from customers/supported departments; sets priorities of work; manages current year maintenance funds, provides input for budgets; and develops and manages short and long-range campus maintenance plans. About the Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M): The Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of UW-Madison in support of the university\'s education, research, and outreach activities. We are responsible for everything from the building projects that change the face of campus to the flowers that beautify the grounds.
