Job SummaryThe Sr. Accountant position performs advanced accounting assignments, obtains, and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements, and recommendations. Assists with the month end close process, G/L analysis and reconciliations, journal entries, allocations, financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting.Essential FunctionsManage work order closings, variance reporting & cost accountingPerform specialized accounting assignments, involving complex and confidential dataProvide support for cost savings, data analysis, and tracking of business performanceProvide support for external auditsManage fixed assets & depreciationManage lease obligationsSales Tax and government reportingEvaluate capital acquisition proposalsDevelop and report operation performance metricsManage the companys inventory cycle counting processProvide work leadership and direction to other staff membersProvide special project assistance to the CFO or Corporate ControllerProvide support and act as a back-up to Accounts ReceivableOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
