Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Land Development team in our Minneapolis, MN office in the Summer of 2024. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Duties and Responsibilities * Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks * Project research, field work, and construction observation * Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed * Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts and estimates * Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits or other similar tasks by discipline * Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field * Basic knowledge of software required for position * Good organizational skills * Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations Required Skills Outgoing, friendly, approachable Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related coursework Basic knowledge of software required for position Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations Required Experience ideal candditaes will be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year working towards completion of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
