Description and Requirements

This role will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic partnerships that drive revenue, enable new products and services, and manage and drive the Lenovo ThinkShield partner and alliances platform. Further, this role will own the ecosystem strategy and execution for emerging areas of technology at the cross-section of security and innovation (e.g. AI, Quantum, etc.). This role offers an opportunity to help define Lenovo’s security ecosystem solutions and service strategy and product roadmap and lead major initiatives within the company. The candidate should have the ability to quickly develop expertise and a point of view on new industries, technologies partnership opportunities, and advocate for, and build consensus around, their recommendations among executives and other key stakeholders.

The candidate should be equally comfortable negotiating contracts and collaborating on product strategy, and should have experience leading complex, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong analytical bent and the ability to navigate and embrace complexity. While managing the day-to-day partner relationships, the candidate will need to be able to see the big picture while remaining detail-oriented.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new opportunities, provide strategic direction, and secure buy-in from internal and external executives

  • Define deal structures; Negotiate large, multifaceted agreements

  • Build and deploy implementation plans that ensure initiative success

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, ops, legal, etc.), acting as point on all aspects of the partnership strategy and execution

  • Grow existing strategic partnerships; identify new areas of collaboration and revenue opportunities with high-value partners

  • Inform long-term service strategy and product roadmap

  • Work with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and BD groups across Lenovo to develop new businesses, products, and features

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of business development, alliance, ecosystem management experience in the enterprise SaaS space

  • 6+ years of experience in the SaaS space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and defend opinions regarding market and competitive direction

  • Ability to develop relationships internally and externally, identify and influence key stakeholders, and set new directions for the business

  • Excellent negotiation skills and extensive experience in contract negotiation, GTM plans and revenue modeling

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and analytical skills are a must

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise multiple complex initiatives and assignments

  • Experience leading complex, senior executive-level discussions and negotiations

  • Cybersecurity and/or AI experience is highly beneficial

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but track record of success and hunger go a long way

  • Track record of success in building and scaling ecosystems

Candidates already based in the Raleigh area is preferred, as our North American Headquarters are in Morrisville, NC. We are open to this role being remote anywhere in the USA for the right candidate.

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
