Serco Senior Navy Logistics, Procurement, and Estimator in Norfolk, Virginia

Position Description

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

As a Senior Logistics, Procurement, and Estimator On-Site Representative (OSR) for all Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) and Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) program matters. You will work directly with the government Execution Manager, ensuring the LCAC Fleet is set up for success with all its logistics needs.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the lead LCAC and SSC Logistician, responsible for material procurement efforts located at Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, ACU 5, and Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7.

  • Directly support the LCAC/SSC Execution Manager and provide logistics recommendations concerning future material usage rates and possible shortfalls, as well as providing other relevant daily updates.

  • Providing One Touch data as needed for Availability Planning and procurements.

  • Provide logistics recommendations to the Execution manager concerning future material usage rates and possible shortfalls

  • Provide a storage, tracking and management plans for craft retirements at ACU 4.

  • Submit weekly reports for LCAC material consumables.

  • Supports the Execution Manager, ACU 4, and MARMC at daily progress and weekly production meetings.

  • Coordinate and document all GFM material transfers at ACU 4 in support of availabilities.

  • Responsible for Government Furnished Material (GFM) procurement for Fleet Modernization Programs (FMPs) and Post-Shakedown Availabilities (PSAs).

  • Monitor program funding that is expended on all LCAC and SSC materials for ACU 4, ACU 5, and NBU 7.

  • Be responsible for the utilization, and processing of related logistics support documents such as NAVSUP Forms 1348-1, DoD Form 1149, and other related forms.

  • Assist in organizing data, creating spreadsheets and graphic support for the Execution Manager metrics and in general, supporting preparation for briefings, assessments, audits, studies, reports, analyses, plans, and milestone reviews.

  • Coordinate LCAC retirement efforts and DEMIL component distribution with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and NAVSEA.

  • Assist the ISEA and Planning Yard representatives in accomplishing their roles on an as-required basis. Working closely with MARMC and contractors, ACU personnel, and unit OSR's to avoid delays and disruptions.

  • Travel in support of program office meetings such as Integrated Logistics Support Meeting (ILSMT), and Quarterly Production meetings, and other events as required.

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, traverse ladders, stairs, and work in small spaces in support of the program as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for equivalent work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

  • Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance post-employment.

  • Prior logistics experience with the military is required.

  • Effective organization level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office suite programs: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

  • Prior experience working with the Navy or Marine Industry is required.

  • 10% travel required

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience with military configuration and logistics programs such as OneTouch, RADWEB, and CDMD-OA is strongly desired.
