Aerotek MIG Welder in Nottingham, Maryland

Description:

  • Perform MIG Welding processes using .052 wire on steel up to 3" thick

  • Utilize provided blueprints, drawings, diagrams, etc to ensure all welding and fabrication is completed to specifications

  • Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate or repair parts of metal or other weld able materials,

  • Lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies

  • May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.

  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

  • Complete fabrication and other tasks when welding work is slower.

  • Use of a respirator required

  • TIG experience is a plus

Skills:

Mig, Aws Certification, Welder Mig, Fabrication, Schematic, Blueprint, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Welding

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of all safety procedures pertaining to welding

  • Experience in the following areas is ideal: Welding, press brake, shears, burn table, blueprint reading, weld symbols, mechanical abilities

  • Need to have experience welding out of positions (vertical, overhead, pulse, or short arc), will occasionally need to get on a ladder to weld.

  • Weld certification preferably AWS D 1.1 structural welding on MIG. ( 3G or 4 G) and familiarity with NDT ( Nondestructive testing) PT and MT.

  • Years of experience doesn’t matter but 6 months to one year is minimum preferable.
