Planate Management Group LLC Safety Manager (to be based in Iraq) in Orlando, Florida

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Site Safety Manager will manage the overall operations of the vehicle maintenance site and facility which includes site safety, property management, quality assurance, customer service, and personnel.

This position will be based in Iraq and is contingent on the award of the contract

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the entire vehicle maintenance site.

  • Implement best practices in accordance with SOPs, regulations and industry standards.

  • Oversee all repair and maintenance activities and ensure quality of work.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction for services provided.

  • Ensure adequate levels of supplies and spare parts are on hand to optimize repair and maintenance efficiencies.

  • Create plans specific to program deliverables.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Three (3) years of fleet vehicle maintenance management within the last 5 years.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety and vehicle maintenance.

  • Certified Safety Manager. Preferably with relevant overseas vehicle maintenance experience.

  • Valid driver’s license from home of record.

  • Must have secret clearance (Top Secret Desired)

  • Excellent English communication skills, interpersonal, and technical writing skills

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to develop implement and maintain paper and computer-based tools for scheduling, tracking and reporting data

  • Strong work ethic and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities

  • Resourceful, self-reliant, self-motivated

  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
