Amergis Database Analyst - Healthcare in Porterville, California

This Position will be ON SITE 5 Days a Week in Porterville California

Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Data Manager, the Database Analyst collaborates closely with various departments including Clinical, Ancillary, Financial, and IT to identify, design, and implement new functionalities and enhancements to meet evolving business and reporting needs. The Database Analyst plays a pivotal role in planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient business, financial, and operational systems reports to support core organizational functions and processes. This role requires adeptness in managing multiple competing objectives and effectively communicating complex technical information to management and end-user personnel.

Position Qualifications:

Education/License/Certification:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business/Healthcare Administration highly preferred.

Experience/Skills:

· Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in computer selection of clinical, financial, business, and decision support systems, along with implementation of healthcare database and support systems.

· Extensive experience in managing complex, cross-departmental projects involving multiple platforms.

· Expert knowledge of Meditech application database design and proficiency in MAGIC programming. Knowledge of Meditech HIS systems is preferred.

· Familiarity with system platforms such as Client/Server, M-AT, Windows '9X, NT, XP, etc.

· Proficiency in MS SQL Server programming, development, and testing techniques.

· Ability to develop Meditech "add-on" applications using MS Access, Visual Basic, Java, C++, and Magic.
