Ken Garff Automotive Group is looking for an Staff Accountant to focus on our accounts payable function. The selected individual will help with the invoice review, data entry, account reconciliation, and other accounting processes at its corporate office. The Staff Accountant will be a member of the corporate Accounting team, reporting to the Corporate Controller, and will also work with the dealership accounting offices, intercompany departments and entities, and external suppliers as needed.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Reviews all supplier and vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval

• Entry of invoice into Oracle accounting system

• Answer all vendor inquiries and reconcile balances

• Help prepare accounts payable checks

• Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files

• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required

• Assist in monthly closings

• Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary

• Corporate card entry and reconciliation

• Other duties as assigned

  Here’s what you’ll need:

• AP/AR experience, but not required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated, organized, and effective problem-solver

• Great analytical skills and attention to detail

• Track record of learning quickly, completing complicated tasks and meeting deadlines

• Good computer skills

• High school diploma or GED

• Available to work in-office at Salt Lake City, UT (2-day remote option once training is completed)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

• Valid in-state driver's license and clean driving record.

• Task oriented.

• High attention to detail.

• Great attitude

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
