Plastic Molding Mechanical Technician – 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:06 PM

Tulsa, OK Salary – Open – Depended upon qualifications and experience.

Parker Plastics, Inc (PPI) is a custom manufacturer of plastic bottles and containers. Most famous for the "honey bear" bottle, we produce packaging for food, beverage, home, and personal care, industrial, pharmaceutical, and various other end markets.

    The ideal candidate will have prior mechanical maintenance experience with a basic knowledge that includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes. Experience with extrusion, PET, and injection blow molding processing is a plus.

    Qualified candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal, b asic computer skills may be necessary, especially for tasks such as using maintenance software, updating records, or communicating through email , and written communications skills. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with others in a positive and constructive manner.

  • Dependable with great attendance.

  • Can take direction well and can work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Monitor operations.

  • Able to perform machine setups to approved processing parameters.

  • Trouble shoot and solve daily production and technical processing issues.

  • Assist in training team members.

  • Ensure that products manufactured meet or exceed all quality requirements.

  • Maintain safe, secure, and a healthy work environment by following and helping to enforce all standards regarding our food safety, OSHA safety, and company policies and procedures.

  • Perform and complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on equipment.

  • Help monitor and maintain a spare parts inventory.

  • Help to maintain and enforce a clean environment.

  • Maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment, providing preventative and cost-efficient repairs.

  • Thoroughness in inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely .

  • Maintenance technicians should be able to adapt to changing situations and be flexible in their work schedules.

  • Some activities may require physical strength and stamina, as the work may involve lifting heavy objects, climbing, or other physical activities .

  • Familiarity with tools and equipment relevant to the specific industry .

    Environment:

  • Working in climate-controlled environment

  • Safety food grade facility

  • Clean manufacturing facility

    Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred - 2+ years thermoplastic processing experience.

  • Preferred – Able to operate industrial equipment.

  • Read and understand written English.

  • Communicate effectively in English.

  • Operate equipment at a safe and proficient level.

    Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 35 to 55 lbs. occasionally.

  • Exposure to loud noises in our production facility
