The Healthcare Mid Market Acute Account Executive is responsible for both building, and managing a territory of customers, focused on selling solutions for common industry problems. Solutions require the adoption of Amazon Business features and specific categories of procurement, which transitions customers to a long-term strategic relationship. The primary areas of responsibility include prospecting, expert knowledge of products/features/functionality to offer industry solutions, and developing relationships with buying decision makers across functional areas (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, IT).

The Healthcare Mid Market Acute Account Executive will ensure recommended solutions meet our customers' procurement needs and will recommend approaches and alternatives that fit their environment, including but not limited to contracting and competitive requirements unique to public institutions, eProcurement integration, advanced payment, and automated reconciliation processes. The candidate will work closely with customers to manage deployment and ensure that our solutions are successfully adopted.

Ideal candidates will have relevant healthcare consultative sales experience and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.

Key job responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed quotas for adoption of Amazon Business solutions and features

  • Initiate prospect and lead generation activities

  • Network with key customer contacts.

  • Present and educate customers on Amazon Business solutions that improve supply chain management through innovative e-commerce and technology-led solutions

  • Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams.

  • Work closely with marketing, selection, business development, customer service, and other key internal Amazon stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully positioning and selling solutions to new and existing customers and market segments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of inside sales experience

  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses

  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level

  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, CRMs (Salesforce) and other systems

  • 5+ years of sales experience selling to Fortune 5000 senior leadership.

  • Experience selling to procurement and/or supply chain roles

  • Experience with customer facing communication including leading in-person or virtual customer meetings, product demonstrations, or trainings.

  • Demonstrated success identifying, prioritizing, developing, and growing a book of strategic customer accounts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $132,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
