Position Overview:

Are you a skilled Low Voltage Master Technician or Systems Integrator? We want you to join our Sioux Falls Life Safety Systems team! In this role, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, from installation to troubleshooting, repair, and programming of low-voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and Service Systems: Work with access control, CCTV, life safety, and related systems, handling everything from cable-pulling to device installation and programming.

  • Configure IP Networks: Set up and manage network configurations for system integration.

  • System Coordination: Coordinate communications of non-proprietary unique systems for remote monitoring.

  • Interpret Technical Documents: Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.

  • Vendor Support: Troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve system issues in a timely manner, providing support for vendors.

  • Field Experience: Gain hands-on experience with field devices, including some out-of-town work.

  • Collaboration: Foster close collaboration with clients and other departments.

  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and trainer for less experienced co-workers, helping them learn and grow.

    Expertise Needed:

  • Test Equipment Proficiency: You can fix anything with a multimeter, a screwdriver, and a pair of snips.

  • Experience and Certification: Five or more years in the field or relevant certifications such as BICSI, NICET, RCDD, CCNA, CCND, Cisco Systems, Nortel, Lucent, Cabletron, etc.

  • System Programming: Ability to program and administer system software for significant communications and/or data networking systems.

  • Technical Aptitude: An aptitude for fixing things and a curiosity about how things work.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and pride in neat, tidy cable management.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with co-workers, customers, and supervisors.

  • Calm Under Pressure: A sense of urgency and grace under pressure, keeping cool and calm when a system is down and getting it back up and running efficiently.
