In this role you will produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.

The pay for this role is $30.12 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up and run CNC machine (Makino’s/Okuma’s) holding tight tolerances as low as +/- .002.

  • Ability to interact with computer-based controllers to enter or edit job offsets/programs.

  • Operations performed include, but are not limited to, indicating of fixtures, offsetting of fixtures, milling, drilling, and grinding (of interior diameter) while maintaining specific tolerances and measurements.

  • In addition to machining, operator also air weighs and uses CNC etching machine to etch permanent serial number on discs following each machining cycle.

  • Work must be completed within specific timeframes depending on production schedules.

  • Processes also involve using, reading, and interpreting gages such as, but not limited to, hand gages, hard gages, CMM's, and touch-off probes to complete and validate work.

  • Understand and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions before and while running operations.

  • Inspect parts, ensuring product meets specified quality standards. Responsible to complete related quality documents/work instructions upon completion of tasks.

  • Demonstrate safe work habits.

  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner using the standard work outlined for the area.

  • As a team member, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School graduate or equivalent experience.

  • 3 years experience of setting up & operating CNC equipment.

  • In lieu of 3 years of set-up & operation experience, an associates machining technology degree is acceptable.

  • Computer skills that demonstrate the ability to use CNC interfaces to read, run and edit computer-based machine job programs.

  • Math skills that demonstrate a basic understanding of arithmetic.

  • Basic reading and writing skills.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and measuring gages.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
