Michigan Market Leader

Aon is looking for a Michigan Market Leader. As part of an industry-leading team, the Market Leader will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions in our Michigan offices.

Reporting to the Midwest Region Leader, this role oversees all strategic and tactical operations of the market and holds responsibility for leading and driving the strategic growth plans across all solution lines. The Market Leader manages the Michigan office’s portfolio of clients, champions a positive colleague experience, drives and supports revenue growth and maintains accountability for overall office results. The Market Leader models a “one-firm” mentality in all situations.

This individual is also accountable for implementing business strategies, developing and achieving sales goals, driving and communicating financial goals and ensuring operational excellence. They will also help accelerate our Aon United strategy over the next three years through leveraging our Risk Capital and Human Capital Structure, embedding the Aon Client Leadership Model and accelerating the Aon Business Services Plan.

Your Impact As A Market Leader

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Leads, personally participates in and is responsible for all Michigan office business activities, facilitating growth across all solution lines to achieve region objectives

  • Serves as a point of integration and ensures colleagues deliver on client service activities

  • Carries out statutory and regulatory compliance where applicable

  • Collaborates with office leadership to develop and drive cross-solution line business plans to include client retention, business growth, colleague engagement, and community engagement and service

  • Communicates overall vision with office solution line leadership, client leaders, sales and growth operations, to deliver on office objectives

  • Leads all aspects of people related activities including recruitment, training, engagement, performance, compensation, succession planning and employee relations as appropriate

  • Leads building of wholistic solution line strategies across our portfolio of clients, and ensures execution of the Client Value Creation Model, including a growth plan for every Michigan office client

  • Responsible for client stewardship and executive client contact for our client portfolio

  • Responsible for connecting with key carriers and partners engaged with all Aon solution lines

  • Makes and communicates decisions related to local operations

  • Highly engaged in the local market and is “face of Aon” externally

  • Promotes Aon’s visibility and business networking within the community by encouraging staff participation in local organizations and representing Aon in professional and business associations

  • Responsible for role-modeling and encouraging a positive, diverse and inclusive colleague experience

    Regulatory Requirements:

  • Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is 219,500K-313,600. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
