About The Role PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES: The Residential Lending Assistant assists & supports the Residential Loan Officers in the origination of residential real estate loans. This support role is critical in facilitating data processing, along with analysis of documents necessary to qualify and submit client files to the Residential HUB. This position works as a liaison between prospective/existing clients and internal processing, closing and underwriting departments; verify and compile information for loan applications; manage pipeline schedules and deadline times; meet with customers to collect/deliver documentation; work closely with the shipping and post-closing personnel to clear conditions. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Support & collaborate with all Operations Staff (i.e. Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Shipping and Secondary). Create, implement, and manage necessary procedures to maximize team efficiency and provide tools for success Gather, analyze, upload and label all necessary documentation into the Encompass e-folder. Timely follow-up of critical documents from clients in order to facilitate a timely closing. Data entry, facilitating credit pulls Setting appointments and/or organizing business related gatherings Enhance relationships with clients and strategic referral partners via marketing documents. Assists Residential Sales Manager with scheduling pre-qualification and application appointments Assists Residential Sales Manager with scheduling business development calls/appointments to include realtors, builders, and qualifying brokers Assists Residential Sales Manager with post-closing markets Assists Residential Sales Manager with inputting loans into databases All other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED and three to five years of residential mortgage lending experience. This position will require/requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment with Wheatland Bank, you will be required to either register via the NMLS registry or re-register and move your previous registration to Wheatland Bank's registration rolls. Continued employment in the position with Wheatland Bank is contingent upon successful registration after your start date and annual re-registration thereafter. In addition, information obtained during the registration process may impact your employment with the Bank. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Reasoning Ability Ability to use experience to make educated decisions, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to analyze, understand, and communicate complex loan products.
