Junior Accountant

One Credit Union is currently seeking a Full-Time Junior Accountant to join our team in Springfield. This position is primarily focused on balancing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to support fair, accurate and timely reporting of One CU Financials.

The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have:

• Good understanding of GAAP accounting principles with strong attention to detail.
• Experience posting journal entries accurately and timely, preparing various financial and regulatory reports as needed (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Comfort with numbers and analytical acumen.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience verifying teller transactions and reconciling them as needed.
• Be comfortable preparing requisitions for office, computer and routine supply purchases
• Assist Senior Accounting staff in preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end closings.
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent experience preferred.
• Wages commensurate with experience and skillsets
