Position Summary

The PRODUCTION SCHEDULER is responsible for building the production plan and target setting/reporting, in close collaboration with the Supply Chain and Production Managers. Works closely with internal and external customers to ensure on time delivery of quality product. Assists in implementing continuous improvement projects including, but not limited to, ERP systems and related applications. Responsible for plant KPI/Metrics data consolidation and reporting (standard and non-standard).

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Issue / Coordinate planning and scheduling/re-scheduling of the shop floor.

  • Challenge departments to remain on schedule

  • Manage the release, follow-up, and closure of production orders.

  • Responsible for local capacity analysis, related master data, reporting

  • Serves as liaison between the internal and external customer and various departments throughout facility to facilitate flow of materials, documents in and between work centers to strive for 100% on-time delivery.

  • Identify root cause for delinquencies to customer

  • Continually work to build a long-term relationship with the customer

  • Run and update metrics

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Strong ERP knowledge and experience with an emphasis in Materials Management, MRP, Purchasing, and Warehouse Management

  • Good understanding of scheduling and supply chain concepts

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience with VBA is a plus

  • Experience with PowerQuery, PowerBI, or SQL is a plus

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering

  • APICS certification is a plus

Experience:

  • Experience with demand management, supply chain management, materials management, MRP, and production control is a plus

  • Experience developing reports in an operational capacity in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.

Physical/Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods, working at a desk and/or attending meetings.

  • Use various computer and office equipment as well as be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area in order to talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.

  • Noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud.

  • Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the plant floor.
