Protective Industrial Products National Sales Manager in United States

Job Summary

This highly visible role reports to the Director of Retail Sales and requires a focus to seize and create opportunities with customers that carry our category of products in the US Market. We are looking for a candidate that has the passion and energy to grow the business and manage the broker network. This is a great opportunity for someone with the initiative to manage existing accounts and secure new business.

This candidate will also be responsible for the bottom-line management of their accounts and will influence how products are marketed to their customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be a champion of the assigned channel/product line, internally campaigning, ensuring PIP team members share your passion for serving the brand.

  • Grow key sales metrics like revenue, margin, GMROI, turns, meeting and exceeding company budget expectations.

  • Seek out new sales opportunities with new customers, manage the review process and leverage internal resources to build best in class presentations.

  • Be a critical and creative thinker, by looking for angles to drive sales and promotional opportunities.

  • Cultivate opportunities outside of core products to customers you serve i.e. Selling glove program to GM buyer.

  • Work closely with marketing team to develop products and merchandising vehicles needed to succeed.

  • Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members.

  • Negotiate effectively with the customer buying organization.

  • Build strong business relationships at all levels of account’s management.

  • Build an extensive knowledge base of product categories you are responsible to sell.

  • Actively participate in the company’s sales and operations planning processes.

  • Assist the development of strategic sales and marketing platform, strategic account management, and overall sales strategy.

  • Responsible for completing monthly narratives and updating company CRM with customer activities and opportunities.

  • Manage customer and selling expenses as if you own the company.

Core Requirements

  • Min 8+ years’ experience selling into

  • Understanding of retailer-based portals.

  • Proven track record of growing customer via organic and new business growth

  • 4-year degree, MBA a plus.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Dynamics CRM
